Concerts under the vaults
Music in ancient churches and courtyards that sounds completely different.
Traditional klapa singing and classical music in the church of St. Justina or the Rector's Palace garden have a very specific acoustic. Entry is usually free or costs a few euros. The program changes weekly — don't look for it online, just check the posters at the entrance of Komrčar park.

Rapska Fjera
Three days in July when the old town returns to the Middle Ages.
This is not just another tourist fair. The old town streets are lit only by torches, blacksmiths and weavers work right on the pavement, and the air smells of fried fritule and salted fish. On the final night, the Rab crossbowmen hold their tournament. Tip: park far outside town and walk in; the best view of the parade is from the top of Galijun street.

Days of the Rab Cake
A weekend dedicated to a single sweet made on the island since the 12th century.
The entire old town smells of toasted almonds and maraschino. At Vilma, Sweet Point, and other local pastry shops, you can taste different versions and watch them shape the traditional cake by hand. If you prefer to avoid the rush, buy a slice early in the morning and enjoy it with your coffee on the square.
