Komrčar Forest Park beside Rab's Historic Core

Protected Komrčar Forest Park continues directly from Rab's historic core, with paths, evergreen vegetation and views toward the sea.

Komrčar Forest Park lies directly beside the old town walls and extends northwest. According to the Public Institution Priroda, it was protected in 1965, covers approximately eight hectares and sits within the Town of Rab.

Paths run through Mediterranean evergreen vegetation. The official protected-area description records Aleppo pine and holm oak, but an individual tree should not be assigned a species from a photograph without separate botanical confirmation. What the frames clearly show matters more: a dense canopy, paved paths and occasional views toward the sea.

Rab Tourist Board material connects the park's history with Pravdoje Belija, the head forester who arrived on Rab in 1883. According to that source, former town pasture was gradually transformed into the park.

Komrčar is not another name for Dundo or Kalifront. Dundo and Kalifront belong to a larger forest landscape elsewhere on the island, while Komrčar is a small urban forest park tied to daily life in the historic core.
